Job summary

Walmart Ottawa location is seeking a Service Shop Preventative Maintenance Technician on 2nd shift in Ottawa, KS. This role maintains trailers, tractors, shop equipment and service vehicles, following Walmart guidelines to ensure reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• Valid state-issued driver’s license.
• Brake inspection qualification per FMCSA regulations.
• Vehicle inspection qualification per FMCSA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic to intermediate inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs and replacements for Walmart equipment.
• Creates and processes work orders, identifies needed parts and solutions.
• Monitors safety and DOT compliance during fuel drops and sampling; ensures proper documentation.
• Communicates progress and documents work orders and logs per procedures.
