Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Bloomington, IL is seeking a Transportation Supervisor who will oversee drivers, coach staff, and ensure deliveries are safe, efficient, and timely. The role also monitors DOT logs, regulatory compliance, and coordinates driver information.

You will travel with drivers across the Midwest up to 50% for training and evaluations, participate in daily admin tasks, and help optimize routes while maintaining a culture of safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 2-4 years transportation or related experience including knowledge of DOT and safety regulations.
• Experience in operation of computerized fleet management systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervises associates to include staffing, training, coaching and performance management.
• Assists in scheduling and ensures deliveries and pickups are on time; rides with drivers for training/evaluation (up to 50% travel).
• Assists Transportation/Operations Manager with day-to-day transportation administration and DOT/compliance tasks.
• Ensures drivers follow safety protocols, vehicle safety, ramps/handcarts, seat/belt use, proper lifting.
• Maintains and reviews DOT logs, trips, expenses, and driver paperwork.
• Maintains trucks/tractors/trailers via post-trip inspections; supports cost-effective routing.
