Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Supervisor to oversee drivers at the operating company (OpCo). You will supervise staffing, training, and coaching to ensure safe, timely deliveries and DOT compliance.

You will assist the Transportation/Operations Manager with payroll, logs, and expense reviews while ensuring accurate paperwork and safe vehicle operation. You’ll contribute to efficient routing and cost control.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• 2-4 years transportation or related experience including knowledge of DOT and safety regulations, along with
• experience in operation of computerized fleet management systems

Responsibilities

• Supervises associates to include staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution.
• Assists Transportation/Operations Manager with day-to-day administration of transportation and delivery functions, including payroll, logs and expense reports.
• Ensures drivers fulfill duties safely by monitoring vehicle safety and safe handling practices; attends quarterly safety meetings.
• Coordinates tracking of license status, tickets, accidents and other risk data.
• Ensures completion of delivery and driver-related paperwork (invoices, DVIR, logs, reports).
• Maintains trucks, tractors and trailers via post-trip inspections.
• Helps minimize operating expenses and ensure efficient routing of deliveries.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
