An established industry player is seeking a FOC Watch Leader to oversee fleet operations from their Miami office. This dynamic role involves monitoring current fleet activities, coordinating responses to operational issues, and ensuring effective communication between ship and shore teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in ship operations, and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure. The FOC Watch Leader serves as the shoreside watch stander/leader in the Carnival Cruise Line, Miami-based Fleet Operations Center (FOC), monitoring current fleet operations, responding to irregular deck, engine, and hotel issues, coordinating ship deviations, and interacting with multiple shore side departments to provide robust situational awareness and decision-making support for senior shore side and shipboard leaders. Shared services to support the HAG (Holland America Line, Princess, Seabourn, P&O Australia).

Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
Travel: Ship based
Work Conditions: Must be able to work night and weekend shifts. Typical shift is 12 hours. Responsible for reporting information related to environmental releases or inadequate performance of environmental pollution protection equipment, system casualties resulting in internal spills, excessive waste development and leaking equipment with oil-to-sea interfaces. Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. May be requested to work a different shift.
This position is classified as “in-office.” Because of the nature of the role, employees are required to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida five days each week. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
