Job summary

United Land Services seeks a Part Time Mechanic to maintain and repair a diverse fleet of diesel and gas-powered vehicles and equipment. You will diagnose engine and fuel-system issues, keep precise maintenance records, and coordinate with departments to minimize downtime.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and timely service completion. Candidates should have 1–3 years of fleet experience, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• 1 - 3 years of experience working on fleet vehicles and two cycle equipment.
• Extensive knowledge of fuel systems, transmissions, brake systems, wheel bearings, undercarriages and engine performance.
• Ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues and develop effective solutions.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and repair issues.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced maintenance and repairs on a wide range of diesel and gas-powered vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical issues in engines, fuel systems, transmissions, brake systems, wheel bearings, undercarriages, and engine performance.
• Ensure all vehicles and equipment are in optimal working condition, minimizing downtime and maximizing operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities in accordance with company policies.
• Complete service work orders through Aspire, ensuring all tasks are documented, tracked, and closed out in the system.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and the team.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure timely and efficient repair turnaround for vehicles and equipment.
• Perform emergency repairs when needed to ensure the fleet remains operational at all times.
