The Town of Breckenridge is seeking a qualified Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair Town-owned vehicles and equipment, including cars, trucks, buses, and heavy machinery. Responsibilities include keeping service records, assisting with divisional purchasing, and performing welding/fabrication tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of job-related experience in repair and maintenance of motorized vehicles and mechanical equipment.
• Must speak English sufficiently to converse with the public and understand highway signs.
• Demonstrated evidence of continued advancement in technical knowledge and skills required.
• Must successfully pass all pre-employment drug and alcohol testing prior to confirmation of hire.

Responsabilités

• Maintain service records for the fleet and assist with divisional purchasing.
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on Town-owned vehicles and equipment.
• Repair and fabricate as needed, including welding and shop tooling maintenance.
