Job summary

SRM Concrete is hiring Fleet Mechanics to maintain and repair our fleet of mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks, tankers, and other heavy equipment. This role emphasizes safety, quality repairs, and teamwork with opportunities for training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Vocational or technical certification in diesel engine repair is a plus.
• CDL is preferred; on-the-job training available for entry-level candidates.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment (oil changes, lubrications, filter replacements).
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks, tankers, and other heavy equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and determine repairs.
• Rebuild, replace, or repair major components such as engine heads, blocks, starters, and transmissions.
• Collaborate with the operations team to schedule maintenance and repairs, minimizing downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures in the workshop and on job sites.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work using company systems.
• Stay updated on diesel engine technology and repair techniques through ongoing learning.

Your Mission & Key Responsibilities

• Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, fleet mechanic, or heavy equipment technician is a plus.
• Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems is preferred.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment; willingness to learn new technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to safety standards and protocols.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical certification in diesel engine repair is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL is preferred.
• Willingness to complete SRM’s pre-employment screenings.
