Position Overview: Mechanics play an important role in ensuring proper performance, safety, and reliability of our trucks, support vehicles, and ground service equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Accountable for local maintenance scheduling and performance to ensure equipment dependability.
2. Perform all duties of a skilled maintenance technician following recognized procedures.
3. Read and use maintenance manuals, schematics, blueprints, and related documents.
4. Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic problems and resolve them within established timeframes.
5. Maintain accurate maintenance records and conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Effective communication skills in English (spoken and written).
• Basic to intermediate computer skills.
• Own a basic set of tools (sockets/wrenches up to 1" and 1/2" drive).
• Knowledge of fluid types, diesel-powered machines, and tools.
• Welding experience is preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to travel to other IDS airports as needed.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• Physically strenuous work with exposure to noise, odors, varying temperatures, and humidity.
• Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
