Job summary

Pilot Company is seeking a Fleet Mechanic in Phoenix, AZ to support the Maintenance Department with timely, courteous assistance while keeping the shop organized. You will pick up and deliver parts, perform basic preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers under supervision, and assist Senior Mechanics with diagnostics.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and a valid California Class C license (or ability to obtain one).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must have a valid California Class C driver’s license or be able to obtain a California Class C driver’s license.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle systems, tools and mechanical processes.

Responsibilities

• Pickup and deliver new, used, or rebuilt parts from vendors to support repair operations.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspections; document findings and assist in corrective actions.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance such as oil changes, fluid checks, tire inspections, and filter replacements.
• Assist Senior Mechanics with diagnostics, component repairs, and more complex maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure proper documentation of work performed and parts used.
