Job summary

Volunteer Fleet Services is seeking an experienced full-time Fleet Mechanic/Diesel Technician to join our Murfreesboro, TN team. This role involves diagnosing and repairing fleet vehicles, ensuring minimal downtime for our customers.

You will earn $45.00 per hour, may qualify for a $1,000 sign-on bonus, and enjoy a strong benefits package including PTO, 401(k), and medical insurance. Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience and be capable of performing DOT inspections.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a diesel tech in a shop.
• Experience with light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot major vehicle components.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain fleet vehicles.
• Deliver exceptional work minimizing customer downtime.
• Work typical hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday.

Volunteer Fleet Services has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, quality-driven person to join our Murfreesboro, TN team as a full-time Fleet Mechanic / Diesel Technician! If you can accurately diagnose and troubleshoot all kinds of mechanical and electrical problems, we want to hear from you.

Our Fleet Mechanic / Diesel Technician earns $45.00/hour based on experience and qualifications. We also have a terrific benefits package, which includes:

WHAT TO EXPECT AS OUR FLEET MECHANIC/DIESEL TECHNICIAN

Working hours are typically 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday. Precision and accuracy are crucial as you inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain light, medium, and heavy-duty fleet vehicles, trucks, and trailers. You consistently deliver exceptional work within a quick turnaround, getting our customers' trucks back on the road and minimizing their business downtime.

Would you excel in this position? Here's what you need:

• 3+ years of experience in a shop as a diesel tech
• Experience with light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles
• Specialized training in and experience with diagnosing and troubleshooting engines, transmissions, and other major components
• Completion of OEM training courses and 608/609 MVAC certifications
• Ability to perform DOT inspections
• Ability to provide your tools
• Knowledge of general repairs and preventative maintenance
• Valid driver's license
• High school diploma or equivalent

A CDL or ASE certification would be preferred. 4+ years of diesel experience would be a bonus!
