Job summary

Allstate Peterbilt Group in Minnesota seeks a Fleet Mechanic to diagnose and repair fleet trucks, perform preventive maintenance, and maintain complete maintenance records. You will work with diesel/equipment systems and implement approved modifications as directed.

Requirements include at least one year of full-time mechanic experience or recent technical college graduate, ASE certification or plan to obtain within 12 months, and a valid Class B Minnesota license within 6 months.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time mechanic experience or currently attending/recent graduate from technical college.
• ASE Certification or plan to obtain within 12 months of employment.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license and excellent driving record.
• Possess or obtain and maintain Minnesota Class B license within 6 months of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and performs necessary repairs on fleet trucks.
• Performs preventive and routine maintenance.
• Performs diagnostic analysis and mechanical repairs on all vehicle systems including electrical, hydraulic, transmission, air conditioning, heating, fuel and mechanical systems.
• Designs and implements minor modifications to existing equipment as directed.
• Maintains maintenance and repair records on all trucks.
• Utilizes technology applicable to the field and general operations to accomplish work tasks.
• Ensures compliance with safety rules and regulations.
