Job summary

United Pipeline Systems (United) is seeking a mechanic to maintain and repair fleet vehicles, identify issues through inspections, complete repairs and test drives, and ensure regulatory compliance. Compensation ranges from $23.00 to $35.00 per hour, depending on experience, with benefits included.

Responsibilities include shop and road service repairs, thorough vehicle inspections, and ensuring safety and regulatory standards are met.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanic or fleet maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair, and diagnostics.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work independently and safely.
• Ability to perform shop and road service repairs as needed.
• Heavy equipment, welding, CDL, or ASE experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles, both in the shop and during road service calls.
• Assess vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic testing to identify worn, damaged, or malfunctioning parts.
• Identify and correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, subassemblies, components, parts, or systems.
• Verify vehicle performance and operational safety by conducting test drives and adjusting vehicle controls and systems as needed.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state vehicle regulations by testing engines, safety systems, and combustion/emissions control standards.
