Job description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  1. Help maintain and repair Class 8 trucks and trailers, including hydraulic repair, brake work, electrical repairs, and welding.
  2. Perform service repairs in the field as needed.
  3. Work on a variety of units, from small fleet vehicles to Class 8 trucks and trailers.
  4. Complete all necessary paperwork accurately.
  5. Must have own basic hand tools; Knife River provides job-specific and large tools, along with a replacement policy.
  6. Follow all safety policies and procedures to prevent unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.
Hours: 6:00am to 2:30pm
Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Previous mechanical experience with Class 8 trucks and trailers.
  2. Strong troubleshooting skills.
  3. Welding and fabrication experience is desirable.
  4. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  5. Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, physical/functional exam, and drug screen.
  6. Professional and courteous attitude towards all team members.
