Job summary

Student Transportation of America in New Hampshire seeks an Experienced Automotive Technician to service and repair Class-A vehicles, including school buses. You will diagnose problems, perform quality repairs, and help keep our fleet safe and reliable.

Required: 3+ years of experience (5+ preferred), own tools, valid US driver’s license, ability to obtain CDL B with Passenger within 6 months. We provide training, uniforms, 401(k) with match, health benefits, and a team-focused shop environment.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of professional mechanic/automotive technician experience (5 years or more preferred).
  • Strong hands-on experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles.
  • Must have own basic tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Experience with Class-A vans or other Class-A vehicles preferred.
  • Commitment to safety, quality workmanship and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Performing preventative maintenance on school buses and Class-A vehicles.
  • Conducting thorough safety inspections.
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues and determining repairs.
  • Repairing brakes, drivetrains, transmissions and engines.
  • Responding to road calls and emergency maintenance.
  • Performing unscheduled repairs as needed.
  • Maintaining accurate and professional work practices in line with STA safety standards.
