Job summary

Avis Budget Group in Tempe, AZ is hiring an Automotive Mechanic (B Tech) to perform essential repairs and routine maintenance on a fleet of newer moving vans and box trucks.

You will handle oil and fluid services, lubrication, tire work, brakes and suspension tasks, with opportunities to assist senior technicians and pursue ASE certifications. Some test driving may be required to verify repairs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of professional auto repair experience.
• At least 1 ASE certification, with ability to obtain 2 more within first year.
• Must have a complete set of tools for automotive repair.
• Valid Driver’s License (Class A, B, or C)

Responsibilities

• Perform essential mechanical repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of newer moving vans and box trucks across brands with minimal supervision.
• Oil and fluid services, lubrication, tire repairs, brake and suspension work, and warranty-related repairs based on experience.
• Assist senior technicians with more complex diagnostics and repair procedures as you grow your skills.
• May drive a Budget Truck on public roads for testing, repair verification, or operational support.
• Keep vehicles operating safely to reduce downtime and ensure fleet availability.
