Job summary

Luck Companies in the United States is seeking a Fleet Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs across the fleet, ensuring safety and reliability.

The role requires 2-5 years of automotive experience, a Virginia State Inspection License, and the ability to handle physical tasks; onsite schedule Monday-Thursday 7AM-5PM, Friday 7AM-3PM; benefits start Day 1.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and troubleshooting.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on the fleet, including oil changes, tire rotations, brakes, and parts replacement.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues across diesel and small engines.
• Minimize downtime by efficiently resolving issues to keep vehicles safe and reliable.
• Complete Virginia state inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Log maintenance and repair activity and manage parts inventory records.
• Oversee inventory levels and reorder parts and tools as needed.
• Create invoices for work performed and process payments.
• Compile reports on fleet maintenance status for planning and budgeting.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance across the fleet, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and parts replacement


• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues across engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and electrical systems — both diesel and small engine


• Minimize vehicle downtime by efficiently resolving issues and keeping the fleet operating safely and reliably


• Conduct Virginia state inspections and ensure all vehicles meet local, state, and federal safety and maintenance regulations


• Accurately log all maintenance and repair activity and maintain inventory records of parts and supplies


• Oversee parts and tools inventory, monitoring levels and reordering as needed to keep operations running without interruption


• Create detailed invoices for work performed, process payments, and maintain organized transaction records


• Compile and present reports on fleet maintenance status to support planning and budgeting

What You Bring

• Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree or certification in automotive technology preferred


• Experience: 2-5 years of automotive experience


• Licenses: Virginia State Inspection License required


• Skills: Strong knowledge of automotive systems, excellent troubleshooting ability, and the physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds


• Attitude: Detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to doing the job right the first time

Schedule

Onsite, Monday - Thursdays 7AM-5PM and Fridays 7AM-3PM

Frequent exposure to dusty conditions and all weather conditions year-round.
