Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Fleet Mechanic to join our team. This position is responsible for performing diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance on a variety of vehicles in our fleet, including light and medium-duty trucks and vans. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform diagnostics on engines, transmissions, and related vehicle systems
  2. Conduct regular maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations
  3. Repair and replace brake components, suspension systems, and other undercarriage parts
  4. Inspect vehicles for safety and operational issues
  5. Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used
  6. Follow company safety procedures and industry best practices
  7. Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members about vehicle issues and repair timelines

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as a mechanic (fleet or similar)
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with diesel and/or gasoline engines
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage time efficiently
