Job summary

Brewster Ambulance Service is expanding its fleet maintenance team and seeks skilled Fleet Mechanics to keep ambulances and support vehicles on the road 24/7. You will inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance to ensure safe, reliable service.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of professional fleet or automotive experience, strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, and knowledge of DOT/DMV regulations. Valid license required; emergency-vehicle repair experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional fleet or automotive mechanic experience.
• Strong diagnostic, mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of DOT and DMV regulations.
• Emergency vehicle repair experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on ambulances and fleet vehicles
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Ensure vehicles meet DOT, DMV, DPH and company compliance standards
• Complete inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records
• Respond quickly to repair needs to minimize vehicle downtime
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Work collaboratively with operations to keep vehicles mission-ready

Position Summary

Our Fleet Mechanics play a critical role in maintaining the ambulances and support vehicles that serve our communities. You'll inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance to ensure our fleet remains safe, reliable, and ready to respond.
