Job summary

NETC Fleet Services is seeking an experienced Fleet Mechanic to keep our growing fleet of light-, medium-, and heavy-duty tow and recovery vehicles, plus a large trailer fleet, safe and road-ready.

The role offers a competitive $25-$42/hour pay range, full-time hours, and the chance to work on diverse diesel and gasoline engines, with hands-on diagnostic work and DOT-compliant inspections in a busy New England shop.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a fleet, diesel, or heavy-duty mechanic preferred.
• Hands-on experience with heavy-duty trucks or towing equipment a strong plus.
• Sharp troubleshooting and diagnostic skills — you find the root cause, not just the symptom
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations and inspections
• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• A valid driver's license (CDL a plus)

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on tow trucks, tractors, trailers, and support vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and air system issues
• Service diesel and gasoline engines
• Handle brake, suspension, steering, and drivetrain repairs
• Conduct DOT inspections and keep the fleet compliant
• Respond to breakdowns and make emergency repairs when the call comes
• Keep accurate service and repair records
• Keep your shop and work areas clean and safe

$25-$42/hr

NETC Fleet Services is hiring an experienced Fleet Mechanic to keep our growing fleet of light-, medium-, and heavy-duty towing and recovery vehicles — plus a large trailer fleet — safe, reliable, and road-ready.

We're one of New England's fastest-growing names in towing, recovery, and commercial truck service, and our trucks are the business. When a wrecker's down, a job doesn't get done — so the person who keeps this fleet running is one of the most important people in the company. We're looking for someone who takes pride in that, works clean, and wants to actually fix equipment, not just keep it limping.

If you like variety, you'll get it here: light-duty rigs, heavy wreckers, tractors, trailers, and support vehicles — gas and diesel, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and air. No two days the same.

What you'll do:
