Job summary

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of previous experience working as a mechanic.
• General knowledge of tools and equipment utilized in the landscape field.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout an entire work shift.
• Ability to work with hand/power tools, small engine equipment, heavy equipment, and materials.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs repeatedly through a shift.
• Flexible working hours, including occasional weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Manage safety, quality and productivity of work at sites and/or shop/yard.
• Perform diagnostic and full service maintenance on a fleet of gas and diesel trucks.
• Participate in all snow removal activities.
• Perform repairs on gas and diesel trucks as well as small engine equipment.
• Complete and submit all required paperwork daily.
• Comply with all company policies and regulations.
• Maintain and enforce cleanliness and organization in assigned areas.
• Ensure all work activities are safe and compliant with standards.
• Participate in all snow removal activities.

Position Summary:

Exscape Group of Columbus is currently seeking a Part‑time mechanic. This position requires the ability to work on multiple kinds of vehicles and equipment including gas and diesel trucks, as well as an assortment of small engine equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage safety, quality and productivity of work at sites and/or shop/yard.
• Perform diagnostic and full service maintenance on a fleet of gas and diesel trucks.
• Perform diagnostic and maintenance on a fleet of mowers, blowers, trimmers, edgers, chainsaws, etc.
• Perform repairs on gas and diesel trucks as well as small engine equipment.
• Complete and submit all required paperwork on a daily basis.
• Comply with all company policies and regulations.
• Maintain and enforce standards of cleanliness and organization in assigned trucks, trailers, equipment, jobsites, and shop/yard areas.
• Ensure that all work activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner, and that all crew members are in compliance with government and company standards.
• Participate in all snow removal activities.
