Job summary

Valley Tree Care, a family-owned company with 3 generations and 27 years in the tree care industry, seeks a seasoned Automotive and Equipment Mechanic in Phoenix, AZ.

You will maintain trucks, trailers, wood chippers, stump grinders, and related equipment, coordinate with vendors, and drive company vehicles as needed. This is a full-time role offering health insurance, PTO, company holidays, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Growth oriented, proactive, problem solving, and professional.
• Driven and self-motivated, as you will be working alone majority of the time.
• Industry experience in fleet maintenance or equipment maintenance is essential.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices and regulatory requirements.
• Prior mechanic experience.
• Prior heavy truck/trailer repair and maintenance (plus, not required).
• Strong dedication to safety.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles.
• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

About the position:

Compensation:

$20 - $30 / hour depending on qualifications and experience

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday **with the understanding that working some weekends may be required

Experience:

• 3 years of mechanic experience preferred
