Job summary

Coca-Cola Beverages Northeast is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee the Coke Northeast fleet and warehouse vehicles across multiple locations. The role includes maintenance oversight, parts management, and fleet vendor relations, with responsibilities spanning shop operations and compliance.

The position requires travel to Coke Northeast centers, 3+ years in heavy equipment repair, and knowledge of DOT regulations, SAP, and fleet maintenance best practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in mechanics and heavy equipment repair
• Knowledge of repair and maintenance methods, equipment, techniques, parts, processes and suppliers
• Familiarity with DOT laws and federal regulations for large fleet equipment
• Experience with fleet management software and reporting practices
• Ability to travel 75% to various Coke Northeast centers

Responsibilities

• Ensure preventive maintenance and repair activities meet standards and regulatory requirements
• Manage shop organization and safety policies
• Coordinate licensing, permits, disposals, transfers and additions
• Manage parts inventories and movement
• Develop supplier relationships and execute vendor selection
• Ensure vehicles present a professional appearance with proper markings
• Provide capital requests for equipment and facilities improvements/repairs
• Train Supervisors/Managers and conduct technician training (40 hours/year)

Compensation: $75,000 - $96,000 annually based on experience and location and annual bonus elligible

This position may report out of: Needham, MA, Londonderry, NH, or Providence, RI

Travel is required to our Eastern Division facilities of: Bangor, ME, Portland, ME, Londonderry, NH, Needham, MA, Sandwich, MA, and Providence, RI. Mileage reimbursement for all travel.

Job Description

The Fleet Manager is responsible the of Coke Northeast fleet and warehouse vehicles for a region of the company. This includes trucks, tractors, trailers, fork trucks, driver and warehouse jacks. This role is responsible for the maintenance of shops, accessory tools, and equipment such as batteries and chargers on electric driven equipment. The Fleet Manager will also be responsible for ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure both preventive maintenance and repair activities meet performance and compliance standards, focusing on quality and regulatory adherence
• Shop organization, cleanliness and policies and practices in conjunction with the Fleet Director
• Collaborate on licensing, permitting, disposals, transfers, and additions with team members
• Managing the parts inventories, movement, and levels
• Ensure adherence to company and government standards through effective management of compliance measures.
• Develop supplier relationships and execute strategic vendor selection.
• Ensure vehicles maintain a professional appearance with proper markings.
• Recommendations for improvement and innovation in the fleet maintenance and repair areas
• Managing the Fleet P&L in conjunction with the Fleet Director
• Vehicle disposal decisions in conjunction with Fleet Director
• Provide the capital request for equipment and facilities improvements/repairs in the shops.
• Repair procedures and compliance to industry standards
• Train the GM and Distribution Supervisors/Managers on proper fleet operation and maintenance.
• Conduct technician training consistently 40 hours per technician per year

Job Requirements

• Driver's License and Clean MRV preferred
• 3+ years of experience in mechanics and Heavy Equipment repair required.
• Knowledge of repair and maintenance methods, equipment, techniques, parts, processes, pricing, suppliers, industry standards and best practices used in vehicle repair and maintenance.
• Knowledge of DOT laws, federal regulations, best practices, fleet makes & models, specifications, operations, and industry standards regarding large fleet equipment, and material handling equipment.
• Skilled in problem definition, data collection, fact establishment, and valid conclusion drawing
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word), Fleet Management Software, SAP Software, and Preventative Maintenance Programs
• 75% Travel to the Coke Northeast Sales Centers and Production Centers
• Physical requirements: Sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb stairs, overhead reach, grasp, and lift, carry, push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver's license, driving record within policy guidelines, and insurance that meets or exceeds company requirements
