Job summary

CCI Mechanical, Inc. seeks a Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to oversee maintenance of all fleet vehicles, schedule repairs, manage UDOT logs, and handle acquisition and disposal of vehicles. You will supervise drivers, dispatch pickups and deliveries, and ensure registrations are current.

This role requires knowledge of fleet management, familiarity with DOT regulations, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Forklift certification is preferred; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in fleet management.
  • Experience working with DOT and an understanding of their regulations is preferred.
  • Basic competency using Microsoft Office, primarily Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate the maintenance of fleet vehicles, scheduling all repair and maintenance as needed.
  • Understand and follow all DOT laws/regulations.
  • Update Motor Carrier and UDOT accounts annually or as required.
  • Maintain and update all UDOT required logs and necessary documentation.
  • Routine inspections on all vehicles and trailers.
  • Schedule repairs/replace any parts on vehicles and trailers as needed.
  • Research/recommend and set up accounts with new vendors for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
  • Dispose of unused or unwanted vehicles or trailers.
  • May supervise and dispatch warehouse drivers for material pickups and deliveries after 6 months.

Job Summary

Coordinates the maintenance of all fleet vehicles, scheduling all repairs and maintenance as needed. Maintains and updates all UDOT logs and documentation. Responsible for the acquisition and disposal of vehicles. Maintains registration on all company vehicles. Responsible for supervising and dispatching drivers for pickups and deliveries.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate the maintenance of fleet vehicles, scheduling all repair and maintenance as needed. This includes Wheels (fleet management company) approvals and managing both driver and vehicle changes/additions to the Wheels and WEX (fuel card) websites and CCI’s MS Excel fleet spreadsheet.
  • Understand and follow all UDOT and surrounding states laws/regulations.
  • Update Motor Carrier and UDOT accounts annually or as required.
  • Maintain and update all UDOT required logs and necessary documentation.
  • Routine inspections on all vehicles and trailers.
  • Maintain current registrations on all company vehicles.
  • Schedule repairs/replace any parts on vehicles and trailers as needed.
  • Recommend any upgrades/repairs to vehicles and trailers as needed.
  • Research/recommend and set up accounts with new vendors for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
  • Work with local dealerships and EMCOR fleet management in the acquisition (lease) of new vehicles.
  • Dispose of unused or unwanted vehicles or trailers.
  • May supervise and dispatch warehouse drivers for material pickups and deliveries after 6 months.
  • Maintain motor vehicle records for all employees driving company vehicles through software program (Samba Safety).
  • Back-up to the Warehouse & Tools Coordinators.
  • Assist with yard organization and yard maintenance.
Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or GED is required

Experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in fleet management.
  • Experience working with DOT and an understanding of their regulations is preferred.
  • Basic competency using Microsoft Office, primarily Word and Excel.

Certification/License

  • Forklift Certification

Physical Demands

Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate required construction equipment including tools, ladders, forklift, etc. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate reports. Requires lifting up to 75 pounds occasionally. Work is performed at construction sites both indoors and outdoors throughout the year.
