Fleet Maintenance Technician reports to the Fleet Supervisor for daily assignments, tasks, and other projects.
Under close supervision, responsible for completing repairs, adjustments, and preventative maintenance services. Checks on company vehicles in accordance with prescribed PM policies and procedures. Responsible for accurate record keeping of all services and repairs completed.
High School Diploma or GED
Demonstrate people skills and effective communication skills. Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks. Proficient computer and keyboarding skills, diagnostic skills, diligence, and ability to safely use hand tools of the trade. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions in gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles using specialized tools, instruments, and equipment. Must have own tools and a strong automotive repair background.
One year of experience as a C Tech Mechanic.
National Automotive Service Technician (ASE) or Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) certification, or obtain within 2 years.
Completion of an automotive technology program.
Physical Demands: Must be able to frequently move, lift, or carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, bend for extended periods. Performs heavy physical labor outdoors.
