A local government agency in Georgia is seeking a Tire Maintenance Technician to maintain, repair, and replace tires for various County vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, two years of tire maintenance experience, and must obtain a CDL within six months. This safety-sensitive position involves operating machinery, conducting inspections, and maintaining inventory. Competitive salary range is offered.
Salary Range: $36,774-$52,875
Purpose of Classification: The purpose of this classification is to maintain, repair and replace the tires on all County vehicles, heavy truck and off-road equipment.
This classification is safety sensitive, subject to random drug testing in accordance with the County’s Drug & Alcohol Policy.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; two years of experience in tire maintenance; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Specific License or Certification Required: Must possess and maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) appropriate for the level of equipment operated within six (6) months of starting employment in this classification.
