Alta Dena Dairy is seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician II to perform routine maintenance and repair on diverse fleet vehicles in compliance with DOT and company regulations. You will diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic systems to determine root causes and perform preventive maintenance.

The role supports our farmer-owned DFA brand, offering opportunities within a collaborative dairy network and potential for growth as part of a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks.
• Able to perform basic math and measurements.
• Capable of standing, walking, kneeling, bending, reaching and crawling; may sit for long periods.

JOB SUMMARY

Alta Dena Dairy has immediate job openings for skilled fleet maintenance technician II to perform routine maintenance and repair services on different types of fleet vehicles under DOT and company regulations. In this role, the person will also perform preventive fleet maintenance and diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic systems to identify root causes of fluctuating failures/conditions.

Pay rate:

$31.74/hr

SCHEDULE:

Mon - Fri: 1:00PM to 9:30PM Saturdays if needed. (Schedule subject to change due to rebidding)

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks
• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, bend, reach and crawl and possibly sit for virtually the entire shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist others
• Must be able to work in a dusty, greasy environment, with moderate noise and cold and hot temperature ranges
• Must be able to follow all required work safe practices
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to maintain CDL Class A/B license within 12 months of hire
• Must be computer literate and have experience with engine, ABS, transmission, etc., as well as diagnostic equipment and software
• Must have experience with manipulation of tools, equipment and truck components
• Experience with refrigeration preferred
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy duty and medium duty equipment.
• Two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Refrigeration license preferred
