Alta Dena Dairy in City of Industry, California, is seeking a skilled fleet maintenance technician II to perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of fleet vehicles in compliance with DOT and company regulations. The role includes preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electronic issues using diagnostic systems, and ensuring safety and reliability for our dairy operations.

Pay rate is $31.74/hr with Mon–Fri 1:00 PM–9:30 PM shifts; overtime may be required and benefits are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years of mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy/medium duty equipment.
• Experience with engine, ABS, transmission systems and diagnostic software preferred.

JOB SUMMARY

Alta Dena Dairy has immediate job openings for skilled fleet maintenance technician II to perform routine maintenance and repair services on different types of fleet vehicles under DOT and company regulations. In this role, the person will also perform preventive fleet maintenance and diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic systems to identify root causes of fluctuating failures/conditions.

SCHEDULE: Mon - Fri: 1:00PM to 9:30PMSaturdays if needed. (Schedule subject to change due to rebidding)

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks
• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, bend, reach and crawl and possibly sit for virtually the entire shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist others
• Must be able to work in a dusty, greasy environment, with moderate noise and cold and hot temperature ranges
• Must be able to follow all required work safe practices
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to maintain CDL Class A/B license within 12 months of hire
• Must be computer literate and have experience with engine, ABS, transmission, etc., as well as diagnostic equipment and software
• Must have experience with manipulation of tools, equipment and truck components
• Experience with refrigeration preferred
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy duty and medium duty equipment.
• Two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
