Job summary

Pilot Company seeks a General Maintenance Technician in Paramount, CA to support the Maintenance Department. You will assist with basic preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers, pickup/deliver parts, and help keep the shop and parts room organized.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a California Class C license; safety and accuracy in documentation are essential. No travel is required, and the pay starts between $21.95 and $36.20 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must have or obtain a California Class C driver’s license.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle systems and mechanical processes.

Responsibilities

• Pickup and deliver parts to reduce equipment downtime and support repairs.
• Conduct daily/weekly safety inspections and document findings.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance such as oil changes and tire inspections.
• Assist mechanics with diagnostics, component repairs, and maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate service records and parts usage.
• Keep shop, parts room and common areas clean and organized.
