Job summary

Botauto is seeking a technician in Houston, Texas, to handle preventive maintenance and repairs for a fleet of Class 8 tractors and trailers. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience, especially in electrical troubleshooting and air systems.

This role involves ensuring safety compliance and maintaining clear work documentation while operating in a fast-paced environment. Additional knowledge of OEM procedures and ADS hardware is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years Class 8 tractor and trailer maintenance experience.
• Strong skills in PM execution, electrical troubleshooting, air systems, and brakes.
• Compliance with documentation and shop safety/OSHA practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and safety inspections; address DVIR/DOT defects quickly.
• Diagnose and repair tractor systems, including air systems, brakes, and cooling.
• Maintain clear, accurate work orders and history.
• Support parts management and basic stocking of common wear items.
• Operate with an uptime mindset and communicate status/ETAs.
