Job summary

Chick-fil-A Supply in Columbia, SC seeks a Fleet Maintenance Technician—Class C to maintain and repair heavy duty tractors, refrigeration units, trailers and hydraulic liftgates for delivery operations.

You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, document work orders, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. A valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and willingness to work nights or weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Must acquire EPA 608 & EPA 609 licenses within 12 months of hire.
• Willingness to train in all aspects of fleet repair, including software platforms.
• Working knowledge of transportation equipment, fuel use and diesel exhaust fluid use.
• Demonstrated ability to perform tasks safely, thoroughly and in a timely manner with PPE and safety equipment.
• Willing to pursue related certifications (e.g., ASE, EPA 608/609).
• Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair tractors, trailers, and liftgates per safety standards.
• Inspect and service vehicle supplies; ensure diesel exhaust fluid levels.
• Document repairs and maintenance in Fleet Maintenance Management System.
• Perform preventative maintenance (battery, lubrication, parts replacement).
• Communicate issues promptly to Supervisor; adhere to laws and company policies.
