Job summary

American Cruise Lines is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician for the Central Region, based in Louisville, KY. The role supports engineering operations across the ACL fleet, troubleshoots vessel systems, and ensures timely repairs to keep ships on schedule.

The technician will assist Port and Fleet engineers, work with diesel and gas engines, and coordinate maintenance projects. A valid driver’s license, TWIC, and high school diploma are required.

• Visits ships frequently.
• Provides technical information and guidance to shipboard Engineers as directed by Port Engineers.
• Familiar with USCG, USPH, FDA, EPA, and other federal regulations.
• Assists with Water Management Plan and water quality.
• Performs other duties as directed.

FleetMaintenanceTechnician - Central Region The Fleet Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting the engineering and technical operations of US-Flag cruise ships. The FleetMaintenance Techniciansupports the Engineering department in the maintenance, repair and regulatory compliance of all American Cruise Lines’ (ACL) certificated vessels.The FleetMaintenance Techniciansupports a team of regional Port and Fleet engineers who are responsible for a division of vessels. The FleetMaintenance Technician assists inproviding an immediate response for repairs to ensure the vessels remains on schedule.The FleetMaintenance Technicianwill be familiar with vessel machinery, equipment and systems. The Tech may be first on scene to troubleshoot or repair equipment. This position reports directly to the Port Engineer, Assistant Port Engineer or Fleet Engineer as assigned. Licenses and Registrations:

• Valid driver’s license.
• Possess a Valid TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Card).

Required Education and Experience:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent or equivalent related experience.

Typical Work Environments:

• This position includes continuous travel to the different ships of the fleet.

Additional Requirements:

• Subject to a background investigation.
• Subject to a pre-employment physical.
• Ability to frequently traverse stairs, fixed ladders and ladder-wells while walking ships on a daily basis.
• Capable of sitting for long periods of time, standing, walking, crouching and kneeling.
• Reaching, handling, using equipment, keyboards and mobile devices.
• Must be located in the Central U.S. region.
• Lifting boxes (files and supplies) up to 20 lb.
