Job summary

A total protection company is seeking a full-time automotive maintenance specialist in Memphis, TN. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in automotive maintenance and a valid driver's license. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles and mechanical repairs. • Analytical and mechanical aptitude with problem-solving ability.

• Ability to read and interpret maintenance instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to work a full-time schedule with occasional extended hours or weekends.
• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and material-handling equipment (or willingness to learn).
• Must pass background check and drug screening.

What You’ll Do

• Perform mechanical repairs and troubleshoot basic vehicle issues.
• Assist with preventive maintenance on tractors, forklifts, pressure washers, and other equipment.
• Support general repairs across company grounds, facilities, vehicles, and related assets.
• Maintain shop and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Follow written and verbal instructions with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Document work performed and communicate maintenance needs to leadership.
• Operate company vehicles, trucks, and pull-behind trailers safely.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.

Physical Requirements

• Must be in good physical condition with no limitations.
• Lift and carry at least 75 lbs. repeatedly.
• Push and pull more than 100 lbs. when needed.
• Climb ladders and reach heights of at least 12 ft.
• Frequent standing, walking, handling, and coordination movements.
• Occasional sitting, pushing, pulling, stooping, balancing, and crouching.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Possible exposure to chemicals and ventilation areas (MSDS provided); must not be sensitive to respiratory or skin irritants.
