Job summary
SG Plumbing Management in Glendale Heights, IL is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to service fleet vehicles, light trucks, and jobsite equipment. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and keep logs.
Schedule Monday–Friday 7:30 AM–4:00 PM with overtime; benefits include full benefits, retirement plan, and bonus opportunities. Must be able to lift 75–100 lbs and have a valid driver's license.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on automotive or fleet mechanic experience.
- Ability to diagnose issues, not just swap parts.
- Experience with trucks, trailers, or light equipment preferred.
- Balance mechanical work with shop/warehouse responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair fleet vehicles, light trucks, and jobsite equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and downtime
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Manage and track parts, tools, and shop inventory
- Support warehouse organization and material handling as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop and yard
- Keep accurate service logs and maintenance records

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (overtime available)

- Valid driver’s license with clean record
- Able to lift 75-100 lbs and work in a shop/yard environment
- Fleet maintenance experience
- ASE certification or formal training
- DOT compliance knowledge
- Forklift experience or certification
- Inventory or parts management experience
