Job summary

Reinhart Landscaping & Snow, serving the Central Illinois area since 1986, seeks a dedicated fleet maintenance mechanic to maintain and repair a variety of landscaping equipment and vehicles. The role offers growth within a supportive team and emphasizes safety and attention to detail.

You will diagnose issues, perform routine maintenance, and keep detailed records while collaborating with teammates to keep projects on schedule and within safety guidelines. CDL within 1 year is encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of small engine repair and automotive systems.
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Experience in mechanics or related field preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on landscaping equipment and vehicles (mowers, trimmers, blowers, trucks).
• Diagnose mechanical issues and repair equipment to minimize downtime.
• Conduct inspections and identify potential problems to prevent breakdowns and ensure safety.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs, parts used, and labor hours.
• Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and ordering parts as needed.
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks and complete projects efficiently.
• Work in diverse weather conditions; open availability during winter months.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in mechanics or related field is preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of small engine repair and automotive systems.
• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Current CDL or ability and willingness to obtain CDL within 1 year of hire
