The Otay Water District is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor responsible for overseeing maintenance of a wide range of vehicles and directing a team of maintenance personnel. Compensation
Current: $106,326 - $132,907 (Effective July 14, 2025, there will be a 5% cost of living adjustment resulting in an increased salary of $111,642 - $139,553)

About the Position and Department
This position reports to the Utility Services Manager and will organize and supervise assigned personnel of the Fleet Maintenance Section responsible for the maintenance and servicing of light, medium, and heavy gasoline, electric, hybrid, and diesel-powered vehicles while also overseeing their strategic management of fleet assets and supporting environmental goals.
The Operations Department is responsible for the operations, maintenance and repair of all Otay Water District facilities and equipment. Facilities include pipelines, reservoirs, pump stations, lift stations, and a reclamation plant for potable and recycles water distribution, wastewater collections, and wastewater reclamation. The Operations Department has approximately 57 employees.

Required Licenses and/or Certifications
Minimum Experience, Education, and Training Requirement
Experience:
Six (6) years of combined experience in the repair and maintenance of gasoline, electric, hybrid, and diesel-powered vehicles, construction equipment, and portable and stationary engines. Supervisory experience is desirable.
Education:
High school diploma or G.E.D. Associate's degree in automotive technology is desired.
This position is subject to random drug testing during employment.
This is an exempt position not eligible for overtime.
