Job summary

Penske in Denver, CO is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor who will coordinate, schedule, and audit maintenance repairs for tractors, trucks, and trailers. You will lead diesel technicians, maintain morale, and ensure high customer satisfaction while enforcing safety and quality standards.

The role includes hiring and training technicians, developing the team, monitoring performance, controlling repair costs and inventory, and ensuring compliance with DOT and Penske policies.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years fleet maintenance management experience preferred or 3 years in a team leadership role with strong operational metrics.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate/technical degree preferred.
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills; proficient with computers and office software.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize and assign work to meet customers’ needs.
  • Ensure quality, compliance, and safety of Penske assets.
  • Control repair, inventory, and labor costs.
  • Meet and exceed customer satisfaction.
  • Coach and mentor technicians and customer-service reps.
  • Monitor associate work levels and maintain a clean, safe facility.

Job description

Company Overview

As a Penske Maintenance Supervisor you will use your excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills to engage your diesel technicians, maintain good morale among your team, and keep your customers happy. Your regular duties include coordinating, scheduling, and auditing vehicle maintenance repairs – prevention, mechanical, and electrical – for tractors, trucks, and trailers. You will be involved in hiring, training, and ongoing development of vehicle maintenance technicians, ensuring a highly skilled workforce meets customer expectations.

Schedule

Tues‑Sat, 2nd shift starting at 12:30 pm.

Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of fleet maintenance management experience preferred, or at least 3 years of team management in an environment with strong operational metrics.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or technical‑school degree preferred.
  • Strong customer‑service and organizational skills required.
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office and web‑based applications, preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability and desire to work in a positive, fast‑paced, high‑energy environment.
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance essential.
  • Willingness to travel within the district and, as necessary, for training and meetings.
  • Compliance with DOT, OSHA, and all Penske safety and maintenance policies.
  • Must meet all physical requirements listed below.
Physical Requirements
  • Move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods.
  • Use hands on a routine basis to grasp, reach, touch, handle, and operate required tools or controls.
  • Work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms.
  • Work in all weather conditions.
  • See and hear to safely navigate the work environment.
  • Lift or move up to 50 lb (23 kg) regularly, and up to 100 lb (45 kg) occasionally.
  • Or agree to reasonable accommodations if disability requires.
Salary

$71,800 – $95,200 per year.
