Job summary

SA Recycling is seeking a Safety Coordinator at our Missouri facility to oversee safety inspections, employee conversations, and training while monitoring production and ensuring proper supervision coverage. The role involves daily interaction with staff and clients to promote safe, compliant operations.

Responsibilities include coordinating safety meetings, organizing materials, and maintaining neat, hazard-free work areas.

Qualifications

• Must pass a medical physical and drug test.
• Must pass a background check and credit check.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to communicate, understand direction, and use basic math.

Responsibilities

• Complete a monthly safety inspection.
• Conduct safety conversations with employees.
• Monitor production levels as assigned.
• Train employees and supervisors in various ways (one on one, tailgate meetings, demonstrations).
• Work with communications (email, bullets, shipping documents, work assignments).
• Communicate to a workforce in morning tailgate and safety meetings (public speaking).
• Provide client services in person or over the phone to ensure new metal materials are purchased daily.
• Work with employees and clients to resolve conflicts and negotiations professionally.
• Clean up work area at end of shift.
• Keep work areas neat and orderly.
• Attend and be punctual as a job function.
• Organize materials for space efficiency.
• Dispose of waste materials properly.
• Inspect cleanup completion.
• Maintain safe housekeeping for all team members.
