Job summary

Transport Refrigeration Services, Inc. in Lancaster, TX is hiring a Fleet Maintenance Operations Manager to lead daily shop operations for diesel trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units.

You will manage a busy service location, develop a high-performance team, oversee training, scheduling, safety programs and performance reviews, and strive to minimize downtime while delivering quality service for our transportation fleets. Relocation assistance and competitive compensation are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience managing fleet/diesel, trailer and refrigeration repair operations.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, trailer systems, and transport refrigeration units.
• Experience with DOT compliance, safety protocols, and repair procedures.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and owning a toolbox/tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop shop teams across multiple shifts.
• Oversee scheduling, workloads and project coordination.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through quality service.
• Oversee technician training and performance reviews.
• Maintain safety programs and conduct inspections.
• Manage hands-on shop work during peak times.
• Track department performance and drive efficiency improvements.
• Build relationships with vendors and customers.
• Promote a positive, high-performance team culture.
