Job summary

Hilltop Companies is seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance & Diesel Technician to maintain and repair our fleet of vehicles. The ideal candidate will diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues with Cummins and CAT equipment, and ensure all work meets safety standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a vocational/technical automotive program, and a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Fleet Mechanic.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational/technical automotive program preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as Fleet Mechanic or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
• Preferred experience with Cummins and CAT equipment and Allison transmissions.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on a variety of vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on fleet vehicles including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections on mixers, dump trucks, and loaders.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on fleet vehicles.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot issues with vehicle systems and communications.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
• Communicate with management regarding issues or concerns with fleet vehicles.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance & Diesel Technician to join our team. As the Fleet Maintenance & Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles to ensure they are in top condition. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of Cummins and CAT equipment with the ability to diagnose and repair issues quickly and efficiently.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Perform routine maintenance on fleet vehicles such as Front and Rear Concrete Mixers, Dump Truck, and Loader including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on fleet vehicles
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns
• Troubleshoot any issues with WABCO vehicle control systems and ABS systems
• Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed on fleet vehicles
• Communicate with management regarding any issues or concerns with fleet vehicles
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and regulations
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
