The ideal mechanic should have at least one year of experience, including diesel expertise. This position offers a Monday to Friday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm, with potential for occasional evening/weekend work.

• CDL preferred.

FULL‑TIME FLEET MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

If you’re the kind of mechanic who takes pride in keeping a fleet tight, safe, and running right, we want you in our shop. We’re adding a Full‑Time Fleet Maintenance Mechanic to handle everything from routine PMs to diesel repairs, trailer work, in‑cab installs, and whatever else needs attention to keep our operation moving.

You’ll work on all company equipment — from semi tractors to garbage trucks — with most of the work being diesel. You’ll stay in close communication with operations, management, and drivers to keep everything running safely and on schedule. If you’re hands‑on, dependable, and ready to tackle whatever rolls into the bay, this is the spot for you.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm Pay: Based on experience

What You’ll Do

• Preventive maintenance on fleet equipment
• Routine repairs: brakes, tires, suspension, wear‑and‑tear items
• Mechanical repairs as needed
• Complete monthly maintenance reports
• Track schedules and shop activity in shared spreadsheets
• Schedule trucks in/out of the shop
• Inspect trucks and recommend service
• Drive trucks to/from shop or other locations
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment
• Handle additional shop tasks as assigned

What You Bring

• 1 year working as a mechanic in a similar environment
• Diesel experience required
• CDL preferred
• Strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision
• High integrity and solid communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Willingness to work occasional evenings/weekends
• Computer proficiency, including Excel
