Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Intern for our fleet shop. This part-time, temporary role supports maintenance tasks under general supervision and helps ensure service continuity.

You will gain hands-on experience in a real fleet environment while contributing to daily Shop activities. Ideal candidates are enrolled in a diesel program, have a high school education or equivalent, are 18+, and can work well in a team, follow directions, and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Fleet Maintenance Intern

_ Position Summary: _

Under general supervision performs support tasks in the Fleet Shop as a part time, temporary intern.

_ Essential Functions: _

  • Completes tasks as directed.

  • Communicates, collaborates, and acts as a team member with others in order to ensure continuity and coordination of services.

  • Adheres to the purpose and philosophy of the organization including, but not limited to the cornerstone values and applicable practices of the organization.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

_ Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: _

  • Basic mechanical knowledge with a desire to learn fleet maintenance programs.

  • Able to follow directions

  • Able to work in a team environment

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Time management and organizational skills.

  • Ability and willingness to learn.

_ Equipment / Tools / Technology: _

  • General knowledge of fleet shop tools and equipment

Requires a high school education or equivalent, or currently in high school. Must be currently enrolled in a classroom college or trade school diesel program.

Must be 18 years or older.
