Job summary

SpanishSpringsConstruction in Reno, NV is seeking a skilled Mechanic to maintain and repair on-road and off-road equipment, including trucks, loaders and excavators. You will diagnose, disassemble, repair and reassemble components, perform welding and fabrication, and work both in shop and on job sites with safety in mind.

Ideal candidates have experience with heavy equipment, hand tools, and welding; ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong communication and problem-solving

Qualifications

Cutting, torching, grinding, welding, rigging, use of hand tools, ability to work in a team environment safely and productively.
Performs responsibilities with minimum supervision. Communicates effectively with other employees and supervisor.

Responsibilities

Maintenance – Performs scheduled and routine maintenance; records parts numbers and measurements.
Repairs – Uses hand and power tools to repair or replace components such as engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
Equipment operator – operates equipment for mining, stockpiling, cleaning, or maintenance.
Loading/Unloading - Manually loads and unloads tools and supplies; may use hoist for heavier items.
Miscellaneous – Completes paperwork and data entry; helps improve profitability by reducing costs.
