Job summary

Southern Tire Mart is seeking a Tire Technician to mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires across passenger cars, light trucks, large trucks, and industrial vehicles. You will diagnose mechanical issues on semi-trucks and trailers, including brakes, HVAC, and electrical systems, while maintaining TPMS and performing fleet maintenance.

Requirements include 18 years of age, a clean driving record, and a pre-employment drug screen.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
• Experience with heavy-duty or commercial tires preferred (not required).
• Ability to lift/move tires weighing between 30–250 lbs., with or without mechanical aids.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work involving repetitive motion, forceful exertion, and working in awkward postures or under vibration.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires across vehicle types: passenger cars, light trucks, large trucks, and industrial vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on semi-trucks and trailers, including Commercial Tires, HVAC systems, Brakes, PM Inspections, Drivetrain, Electrical Systems.
• Conduct fleet inspections and routine maintenance.
• Respond to roadside service calls using a service truck (F-350), when needed.
• Use and maintain Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS).
• Assist with inventory loading, unloading, and physical counts.
• Participate in ongoing training, follow safety protocols, and uphold company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
