Job summary
The Home Depot in Marietta, GA is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to repair and maintain a broad rental fleet of earth-moving, aerial, landscaping, and material-handling equipment. You will perform complex repairs on hydraulic and electrical systems and diesel engines, with safety as a priority.
Responsibilities include documenting work on tablet devices, advanced troubleshooting, inspections, and safe operations of forklifts.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older and legally eligible to work in the United States.
- At least 3 years of experience in repair and maintenance of heavy equipment.
- Ability to perform advanced electrical and hydraulic system troubleshooting.
- Welding repairs on equipment and trailers.
- Forklift operation and safe handling of materials.
- Strong written and verbal communication, teamwork and safety-consciousness.
Responsibilities
- 10% Administrative work: document work, complete work orders, track parts usage and labor.
- 40% Advanced troubleshooting and repairs: electrical, hydraulic, diesel engines, small engines, fuel systems, oil/air filtration, ignition, etc.; welding repairs as needed.
- 30% Inspections and audits: aerial lift inspections, tablet work orders, GPS checks and IT coordination.
- 20% Safety: follow shop safety protocol, proper storage of fuels and waste oils, safe lifting/moving; operate forklift.
