Job summary

1 Resource Group is seeking an experienced Equipment Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and service a range of industrial and contractor equipment. The role emphasizes reliable attendance, safety, and quality workmanship in a day shift setting.

The position requires 3+ years of repair experience, knowledge of hydraulics and engines, and willingness to travel to job sites. Certifications such as forklift and OSHA may be pursued as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience repairing tools, machinery, or construction equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, schematics, drivetrain systems, and diesel/gasoline engines.
• Experience with mobile heating and air conditioning systems preferred.
• Able to meet physical demands including lifting, climbing, standing in a shop.
• Willingness to travel to job sites, including overnight stays.
• Ability to obtain forklift, aerial platform, fall protection, OSHA, and manufacturer-specific certifications.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Must provide personal repair tools; bench equipment provided.
• Overtime, including weekends, may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine adjustments, testing, inspections, maintenance, and repairs on equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair gas and diesel engines.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems for on-road/off-road vehicles and construction equipment.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems and aerial work platforms.
• Complete work orders, parts orders, and related paperwork accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Plan, organize, and carry out assignments as directed.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Support company Health, Safety & Environmental initiatives.
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
