Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on mechanical experience.
• Experience with automotive, fleet, or construction equipment.
• Strong preventive maintenance and general repair skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.
• Proficient with shop tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Valid California driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and routine service on vehicles and equipment.
• Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues.
• Repair or replace brakes, suspension, steering, batteries, belts, hoses, cooling system components, and related parts.
• Assist with minor hydraulic repairs and troubleshooting.
• Test vehicles and equipment after repairs to ensure safe operation.
• Identify larger or more complex repairs that require advanced diesel support.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
• Keep tools, equipment, and the shop clean, safe, and organized.
• Assist with general facility, grounds, and shop maintenance to support safe and efficient operations across the shared workspace.
