Moss’ Fleet Equipment Mechanic’s main function is to ensure all equipment and vehicles are in job‑ready condition. Must be able to troubleshoot issues using Diagnostic Tools and Perform the most economical repairs in a safe and timely manner. The candidate must have the ability to perform preventative maintenance routine and job‑site on‑demand equipment down issues and on‑site repairs as scheduled by the Solar Equipment Coordinator / Fleet Equipment Manager. Perform key responsibility area’s and effectively communicate and coordinate with Asset Management Team members, jobsites, and vendors.
This position requires frequent physical activity in both indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds and may occasionally be required to handle loads exceeding that amount with assistance. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, elevated work areas, loud noise levels, and extreme temperatures.
