Job summary

Salem Carriers in Houston, TX is seeking a Dispatcher to create efficient trucking routes, manage daily workloads, and ensure on-time deliveries. You will use routing software to meet customer contracts and coordinate with the Shop Maintenance and Safety teams as needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent professional driving experience (3 months within previous 12 months).
• CDL-A license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review and schedule driver daily workloads.
• Check in drivers daily.
• Enter driver logs into system.
• Work with drivers to ensure on time and accurate deliveries.
• Prepare trip activity sheets, bills of lading and special instructions.
• Promptly respond to customer needs, driver needs and inquiries.
• Enter customer invoices and work orders.
• Supervise, support and motivate drivers.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety policies.
