Job summary

Merrell Bros., Inc. Indy Disposal Solutions in Speedway seeks a Full-time Diesel Technician with 2+ years of diesel maintenance experience. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs for heavy Class 8 trucks and trailers. A CDL is a plus, and safety PPE use is required.

The technician will perform DOT inspections, document vehicle records, and collaborate with the repair team to plan timely repairs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of diesel technician and/or maintenance experience.
• Preventative maintenance expertise required.
• Computer diagnostic skills expected.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in varying weather.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• CDL license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor level repairs on trucks and trailers.
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance on semi-trucks/trailers.
• Perform DOT inspections, including safety and brake inspections.
• Collaborate with repair team to diagnose problems and plan repairs.
• Perform electrical system repairs on vehicles.
• Document vehicle records and report both manually and via computer.
