Qualifications

• Completion of high school or equivalent; two years’ automotive mechanics experience, including one year in diesel mechanics.
• Valid Florida driver0s license and Class A CDL with X endorsement within six months.
• MACS certification on air conditioning repair within three months.
• Pre-employment drug screen, physical and background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, repairs, overhauls and maintains a wide variety of fleet vehicles and equipment with minimal supervision.
• Work is assigned by and performed under the supervision of a higher level supervisor, reviewed on completion.
• Exudes a positive customer service focus.
• Drives county/personal vehicle to perform duties.
• Performs field service and uses shop equipment for maintenance and repair.
• Prepares records and reports on work accomplished.
